Funding - Questions & Answers

1) When is my child eligible
If your child is 3 years old by:
31 March- available in summer term.
31 August- available in autumn term.
31 December- available in spring term.

2) Do I have to do anything ?
No, we will do everything for you when all relevant paper work arrives we will ask you to check and sign a form, which we will then send off!

3) Do I have to declare my earnings?
No the education grant funding is available for every 3 year old child.

4) My child attends another pro-vision (i.e. nursery class/early years center) - will I still get funding?
Sorry-No

5) How much will I get?
It depends on what is in "the pot". On average it Is between £7 and £8 towards each session (Maximum 5 sessions).
E.g.   Full Time 10 sessions
         5 sessions x £7:00 = £ 35:0O weekly
         2 full days =4 sessions
         4 sessions x £7:00 = £ 28:00 weekly

6) When will I get it?
It Is sent to us every 6 weeks and will be divided over the next 3 Invoices.

7) How does it work if I pay direct debit or standing order?
If you like you can contact head office direct on 0161 941-7331, they will give you a new monthly payment.

8) Does my child receive this until they leave for school?
Yes, However funding is only available during termtime.
